Michael has received numerous awards for his commitment to the industry, including the AHA NSW accommodation division Employee Excellence in Service Award in 2000. Michael was also appointed the official ambassador for the Sydney 2000 Olympic ‘Welcome the World’ program. This high profile national campaign further elevated Michael into the public arena as a key spokesperson for Australia.
