If you can’t make it for lunch, which is offered until 3pm, then visit Globe for afternoon tea, served in grand tradition. Following a welcome glass of Möet & Chandon Champagne, your choice of signature blend Observatory tea is poured by discreet staff, while the aroma of freshly baked scones and cakes fills the air.
The wireless rooming service which is available in all common areas means you can relax and enjoy the bar atmoshpere while you surf on the net.
As an ideal way to end your day and set the tone for the evening’s entertainment enjoy a signature cocktail. Tapas platters are served in the evening and if you drop by on a weeknight, you’ll discover Globe’s cocktails of the day.
Serving light meals, the Bar is open daily from 12.00 noon to 12.00 midnight, Monday to Saturday; and 12.00 noon to 10.00 pm, Sundays.
Winter Warmer Wednesdays
This month, Globe Bar has launched Winter Warmer Wednesdays - set to add a little sunshine to winter’s dampened social calendars.
The Globe Bar’s Winter Warmer Wednesdays will act as a welcomed midweek haven from the wintry, night air. Guests will enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of the club-like bar while sipping a glass of home-made mulled wine and savouring a warming canapé platter prepared by the hotel’s award-winning chef, Haru Inukai. Crusty beef bouchée parcels and a creamy mushroom bouillon will make up the platter.
Globe Bar’s manager, Mohan is encouraging everyone to embrace the new season’s cosiest of offerings.
“Globe Bar is certainly one of the most classically European-style bars in Sydney and it makes sense for us to celebrate winter like the Europeans do – with plenty of warming mulled wine. We have blended the traditional mulled wine recipe with a hint of authentic Australian spice and matched it with a canapé platter that is sure to warm the cockles.” he said.
Winter Warmer canapé platters and a glass of mulled wine will cost $25 per person and is available every Wednesday from 5pm to 10pm until August 31st.
