Taking care in the sun Our sun is very strong and it is advisable to wear a broad-brimmed hat, a shirt with collar and sleeves, and sun screen with a high protection factor (SPF 15+).
Taking care of your health Our tap water is safe to drink. Chemist shops and pharmacies are able to supply medicines and provide general advice. They can also direct you to a doctor.
Our hospitals are well equipped and have a high standard of hygiene. All blood supplies are screened for contamination (including HIV/AIDS). |
Emergency phone numbers For life-threatening emergencies, dial 000 (you can do this from a public telephone, free of charge). This is a 24-hour service. An operator will connect you to whichever service you require - police, ambulance or fire brigade.
