The Observatory Hotel exclusively offers most luxurious harbour experience.
14 April 2008

You can experience Sydney Harbour in many ways. By sea-plane, not for the faint-hearted; in a kayak, not for the well-manicured; a scheduled cruise, perfect for the unadventurous; or ferry, along with a healthy slice of the many backpackers visiting Sydney each year. But there is really only one way to experience Sydney Harbour in style…

Through a new partnership deal with Cambria Charters, The Observatory Hotel now exclusively offers their guests Sydney’s most extravagant harbour experience with unparalleled service, style and luxury aboard Cambria II.

Modeled on the classic style of hotel’s Globe Bar, the 100ft luxury cruiser boasts hand-crafted Brazilian mahogany furniture with marble and Corian finishes, open deck, full kitchen and bar, Plasma TV and a gentleman’s library.

Patrick Griffin, Regional Managing Director Orient-Express Hotels Australia said the Cambria II vessel was a perfect fit with the five-star Orient-Express brand.

“This impressive vessel echoes our own key values including high-end quality products and first-class service ultimately providing a luxurious and enviable guest experience.

“We are delighted to partner with Cambria Charters and to be able to offer our hotel guests a truly unique and indulgent way to experience Sydney’s dazzling harbour.” He said.

The Observatory Hotel’s guests will have the option of choosing a charter to suit their needs. Choose from a morning or afternoon charter (3 hours), full day charter including a gourmet lunch (6 hours) or an evening cruise including a three course lavish seafood dinner (4 hours).

For the more romantic guests, the hotel has created a two night ‘Luxury Snooze & Cruise’ package that includes overnight accommodation in the Observatory Suite followed by a sunset harbour cruise, lavish three-course seafood dinner and overnight accommodation aboard Cambria II on the following night. The package also includes a full breakfast served on deck as you cruise past the iconic Sydney Opera House and Sydney Harbour Bridge – undoubtedly one of the most enviable views to wake up to in the world.

The Cambria II accommodates up to 12 people for day and evening charters and a maximum of six people for the ‘Luxury Snooze & Cruise’ charter.
