Sydney’s Observatory Hotel win major UK travel award voted best in Australasia.
Last night, The Observatory Hotel received a major award at a ceremony in London, voted Best Leisure Hotel in Australasia and the South Pacific at the Conde Nast Traveller Readers’ Travel Awards 2006. The Observatory was also ranked 38th in the World’s Top 100 Hotels.
One of the UK’s most esteemed travel magazines, Conde Nast Traveller every year asks readers to rate their travel experiences and select the best facilities and services the travel world has to offer.
Taking first place with a total score of 92.71, Conde Nast revealed, “The Observatory Hotel in Sydney gained 95.56 for service, 97.78 for accommodation and 96.14 for that elusive value for money."
Orient-Express Hotel’s only other Australian property, Lilianfels Blue Mountains Resort & Spa was also applauded, gaining a score of 87.85, and seventh place.
